Today’s post features sacral chakra affirmations as well as a video to help open and balance the energy of this chakra. The sacral chakra is the second chakra and is located a couple of inches below the navel. Sacral, location-wise, means related to the sacral area of the spine. An alternate definition for sacral is sacred.
The sacral chakra, or energy center, is associated with our emotions, creativity, sexual energy, relationships, sensuality, pleasure, empathy, and warmth. If your sacral chakra is out of balance you may experience feelings of depression, detachment, and anxiety.
Things you can do to help open and balance this chakra are: moving around, working out, dancing, releasing pent up emotions. You can also actively seek to start and maintain new relationships, whether they be friendships or love interests.
Orange is the Color of the Sacral Chakra
The sacral chakra is represented by the color orange. Visualize this color when working with this chakra. Incorporate more orange-colored items into your life to help activate this chakra and remind you of it’s powerful energy. You can also visualize a glowing orange energy glowing and healing this area.
The foods associated with this chakra and that are said to be nourishing include nuts and seeds, sesame, and sunflower. Also orange foods are said to be beneficial. These include pumpkin, oranges, carrots, apricots and more.
